I installed freetype-2.1.9 because fontconfig requires it. When I run the configure script for fontconfig I get the following error message from /usr/local/include/freetype2/freetype/freetype.h

I'm trying to get pango installed (which requires fontconfig), and gtk+2.6, ultimately to install the newest version of GAIM. Unfourtunately, I'm rather inexperienced, and I'm not sure what the problem is. Thanks for taking the time to read this.
