help on compiling a file written in expect

Okay, my question is how do you compile a file written in expect? So far I've tried this command..

./filename.sh

and recieved "Permission Denied" even while logged in as root.

thanks,

Hi, and welcome to LQ!

You don't compile expect scripts. To be able to run them like this you
just need to flag them as executable to the OS.

chmod u+x ./filename.sh

Cheers,
Tink

by definition a file called something.sh is a shell script, an expect script is very different, so shouldn't have .sh on the end. expect files are normally .exp.
