Hi all
Can anyone tell me how to convert mp3 files to wave files.I have thousands of songs in mp3&shn format the only way i can burn them to cd is to rip them a second time as a wave file .There must be a easy way to convert them.This is my music (i bought the cds).I just want backups to play in my truck~! When i try to burn mp3 to cd audio all i get is white noise tried, g-combust white noise.K3b crashes and unmounts all drives even floppy,xcdroast just finalize the whole cd but no music.I can burn data disk with all these apps
I can burn audio cds with wave files in Gcombust.What can i use to convert thhe mp3s or is there a program that can do all .

use audacity from sourceforge et al for that conversion.
otherwise sox will convert to and from most formats - maybe mp3 aswell

You should have MPlayer - it is great!

mplayer file.mp3 -ao pcm -aofile file.wav

That would do the trick. With this you can turn the audio from any file that MPlayer can play into a wave! How cool is that?
