HELP!! i'm new to linux


Hi all,

I'm a new user to Linux (my distribution is RH8.0) and I have downloaded AMSN (MSN Messenger Clone for Linux) and i don't know how to install it.

Is there anyone who can help please???????

go to http://amsn.sourceforge.net/

you will see the installation instructions to the left...

aMSN doesn't need to be compiled or anything.. You just have to
a) download it
b) Go to the shell :
+ Get into the correct directory (where you downloaded it)
+ uncompress it (tar -xvzf amsn-0_xx.tar.gz)
c) Type "cd msn" without the quotes.
d) Type "wish amsn" without the quotes.
