Question having trouble with speedstep_centrino module on kernel 2.6.14.4

I got this dell inspiron 710 m. I need some modules so I can throttle my cpu frequency when it is using a battery.

This utilities in fact already work. BUT. I can't load the speedstep_centrino module, this is what I see on dmesg.
Code:
eth0: Broadcom 4400 10/100BaseT Ethernet 00:14:22:8a:41:f2
agpgart: Detected an Intel 855 Chipset.
agpgart: Detected 16252K stolen memory.
agpgart: AGP aperture is 128M @ 0xe8000000
eth0: no IPv6 routers present
kobject_register failed for processor (-17)

speedstep_centrino: Unknown symbol cpufreq_gov_userspace
ieee80211_crypt: registered algorithm 'NULL'
ieee80211: 802.11 data/management/control stack, 1.1.6
My question is. Should I worry about this? Maybe I need to do some changes on my kernel?

Help would be much apreciated.
