Unhappy Having Problem with Running a Program in RH linux 8.0


Can anyone help pls...i currently using a rh linux 8.0..i installed a bit torrent and currently..i dont know how to run the program...can anyone help me?

Which client did you install? Also, is there any particular reason you're using a really old distro instead of something newer?

I am using red hat linux 8.0...erm..im using it coz i bought it last time....never use it......so install it...i i didnt make myself familiar with the new os....

Back to your problem, I'll ask again: which BitTorrent client did you install?

it's shown there bittorent-stable only...no other....

Have you tried just running the executable "bittorrent"?

Try to run "bittorrent". Edit: run it in a terminal window, without the quotes. What happens? You don't need to be a geek :/.

Yes,exactly. You may need to run it followed by the torrent filename.

Try "updatedb && locate bittorrent" as root, just to see if those files are there.

What? The executable may not be in your $PATH. You may also want to consider a newer distro.
