Hi,

I'am having problems to let my php (v5) communicate with mysql ( V5.1.35 ), so what i've done after looking into forums is this :

sudo yum install php-mysql

And as a result i had this over the screen :

[root@patrasso ~]# sudo yum install php-mysql

What I think is that you just don't use the right wording for finding the packages. A should show you what php packages are there. Should be something like
