Hamachi client not able to ping

I set up hamachi on my Fedora 6 work station, I was able to join the network from my client machine, but I was not able to ping the existing network IP address.

The address of my client is: 5.67.90.149
The address of my network is: 5.23.35.148

Can anyone tell me what I need to do to get these two machines to communicate.

Things tried:
1. Opening port 24800 on my firewall [Firestarter]
2. Turning off my firewall completely
3. Setting SELinux to "passive" mode
4. Restarting the existing network using go-offline and go-online

Any help would be extremely appreciated. This problem has also occurred when I have had a mac os x client and a windows client trying to connect to the existing network.
