Question Gwenview says "No MIME types installed"


I am on Debian etch and installed gwenview using aptitude.
when i start it it gives following errors but displays GUI.
But no images are displayed. I have Kuickshow installed which is able to open images. whats the problem here? What I gotta do?


/!\ : Could not find mime type
application/octet-stream

ERROR(X): No MIME types installed
