GVim Settings.

Can anyone tell me if it is possible to set preferences in GVim so that they stay put.

I would like to have it that when I start this program word wrap works, without me having to go through the settings each time to re-set this option.

Many Thanks.

You should have a .gvimrc file in your home directory, edit that.

I don't have that. All I have in my Home Directory is a bunch of Folders.

Keep in mind that files that begin with a point, like .gvimrc, are hidden files in Linux. You have to configure your file-manager to show hidden files to see that file. Simpler approach: Open a terminal and type
Code:
gvim ~/.gvimrc

To see all 'hidden' files
Code:
ls -a

# more details
ls -la
