growisofs with cron

Seen this before?

Running growisofs on its own or via a script to write data to a dvd works great. Howver, run it via cron and it bombs. The man for growisofs says when growisofs is excuted via cron, it behaves differently and wont run unless you use the undocumented......

-use-the-force-luke

Tired it and no go. Even tried adding this to the end of the line.....

< /dev/tty13

Has anybody gotten growisofs to work under cron?

Running Fedora core 1, and v 5.19.x of growisofs

Been trying all sorts of ways to fix this and no solution in sight so far. Is there an alternative way I can burn this data on a rewritable dvd each night as an automated task?
