i am looking for a way to automatically produce graphs from data that is stored in a mysql database. can anyone recommend anything? i have been looking at rrdtool but this seems too complicated for my needs as rrdtool is also a database.

I've got a small app that I downloaded called MaxChart that can do this via PHP - it has no url listed with it (and I can't remember where I got it) so drop me a mail at spamnot atby polard dot com and I'll mail it to you. Very small, lightweight, and simple - might be what you are looking for?
