Google talk problem

HI everyone,

I have Ubuntu 9.04 in my PC. I have tried Google talk with it but Google talk can't work properly with Ubuntu. Some one told me to change some configurations but I don't know which are they? Do you know about any way to make it working? Please help...

Sorry, but no idea what you're talking about. You don't say what messenger you're using, what errors you're getting, or what "configurations" you were told to change, so it's hard to give you any help.

I use Kopete with Google Talk all the time, and I have no problems with it. I've heard that Pidgin also works with it, but I've not tried it. If you want to provide some useful information about what you're trying/doing, that would help.
