gnometoaster broken (for audio cds)

My friend is running RH9 and the built-in nautilus burning works perfectly, and i think datawise, gnometoaster works aslo (can't remember). She wants to burn CDs of ogg and mp3 files. she has mpg123 (or 321 i forget) and when you drag&drop the files, they decode to wav files.

everything works fine up until she hits 'record' NOTHING happens. nothing shows up in the gnometoaster console window... nothing.

Any ideas? just seems to be audio and/or gnome-toaster

any little error in the gnometoaster setup can make it
do stuff like that. and all those paths to the right
executables has to be right too.
