gnomemeeting banned on ils servers

what exactly should i change and to which xml files should i change so that gnomemeeting appears as ms-netmeeting?

it seems this is a valid problem which has appeared in this thread:
http://mail.gnome.org/archives/gnome.../msg00256.html

but has not been documented as far as i can tell.

You have to modify the xml files in /usr/share/gnomemeeting/xdap

Each line represents an attribute, for example :
<sappid>&sappid</sappid> will use the sappid provided by GnomeMeeting as
ILS sappid attribute.

The lines beginning by <!ENTITY are sort of constants, if you put a line
like <!ENTITY sappid "ms-netmeeting">, ms-netmeeting will always be used
as attribute value whatever the value provided by the application.

You might have other things to change than the sappid attribute, but it
is the only one I can think of for now.

there's no
line such as "sappid=gnomemeeting" that I could change!

instead of signing to ils using gnomemeeting...

i'm at the same boat with many other user who try to contact netmeeting people using gnomemeeting....

i noticed in window messager (not msn messager), there's an option allow a win user to choose a server to sign on, so instead having us (gnomemeeting) try to show up on the ils list, would it be possible to have your friends (from msn messager) sign up on gnomemeeting server using their window messager ?
