Gnash and youtube cookies

Hello world. I've been trying out the gnash-0.8.8 flash plugin for the last couple of days. On my main computer (a quad core beast) it works well. However, on the other computers I've tried it on (all single core i686) it doesn't work, it just shows a black screen and says

An error occurred, please try again later.
Google led me to a solution, which is to delete all youtube cookies from Firefox and block any further youtube cookies. If I do that it works.
However, if I disable youtube cookies I can't opt in to the html5 beta. I'd prefer to let Firefox play the webm videos that are available and only use gnash when needed. Is there some other way round the bug, other than disabling youtube cookies?

Never mind, I got it to work by closing Firefox and deleting ~/.gnash
