giFT - Not a Repetitive Question

Hello all again, I have installed giFT into my Suse 9.1 personal sucessfully. I can see the binary and execute it, yet when I install the frontend apollon it tells me that I am missing the giFT dependency. I install giFT into the default directories is there another directory that I should install it into? if you have any thoughts on this I would much appreciate it.
