I have lm_sensors setup and it works fine, but I can't get gkrellm to display the lm_sensors data. I open up gkrellm, go to configure and under the plugins tab, lm_sensors is there and enabled, but all that happens is a little, blank bar appears on the gkrellm GUI with no info.
If I remember right, gkrellm doesn't show lm_sensors info by default, you have to enable it; just select gkrellm and press "F1".
The post is not really clear... assuming that "sensors" shows up with something, is you gkrellm works correctly? I can't figure if the "blank bar" you are talking about is only about the temperature or voltage part or is all your gkrellm is a "blank bar".

PennyroyalFrog - sounds as if you are in the configuration window. Go to Builtins, hit the arrow head and the first in my list is "Sensors". Hit that and you are in the configuration window for sensors.
I hope you do not see, when hitting the "Info" tab: No sensors detected. That's where I am having problems.
There is a dependency upon sysfsutils, that I installed but have not yet checked the configuration changes that might be necessary, hence, I have no idea if it will work. I am using the latest GKrellM 2.2.7 without the latest version of lm_sensors so my attempts may still fail.
Good luck, let's us know what progress you make and how you did it.

Here is an item I altered that I forgot to mention: /etc/sensors.conf was altered. I have an Asus mother board that reversed the temp1 and temp2, where temp1 became the cpu and the second the mb. Prior to my change it was the inverse.
Rebooting it worked.
Upon rebooting I saw and continue to see the error under Ubuntu that the "sensor limits are not set", but upon configuring GKrellM as I described the temperatures are displayed. Nonetheless, these temperatures are nearly 10 degrees centigrade lower than what I have seen in the bios. Supposedly Asus boards do not need a temperature correction, but when I see 48-49 in the bios and on 30-33 displayed on the system monitor, it appears I will to make some correction. I am also seeing one fan speed that seems rather high.
