Gentoo live cd will not mount /dev/hdc on HP Omnibook xe3 (Gentoo 2006.0.0)

Hello

I run an HP Omnibook XE3 and im having a bit of trouble getting the 2006.0.0 build of the live cd to run. It hangs on setup.

Attempting to mount CD: - /dev/hdc

Nothing happens after this.
The specs of my computer are as follows:

Celeron 850mhz
376 Megs of ram
Intel 82830M Graphics controller
Basic CD-ROM
Currently running Windows XP Pro sp2.
Integrated Network contoller

I'm pretty new to this and attempted a good deal of research before I posted.
I'd be greatful for any help

Let me know if any more info is needed.

Mount Hang

Be patient. I had the same problem and left it running and it was able to get past this point.
Bon chance.
