Gdk-WARNING : locale not supported by Xlib

Just installed all the required RPMs to install Xvfb. Xvfb is needed to run acroread to process PDF documents.

I am recieving the following errors:

[root@c1pds01 ~]# acroread

(acroread:3129): Gdk-WARNING **: locale not supported by Xlib

(acroread:3129): Gdk-WARNING **: can not set locale modifiers

(acroread:3129): Gtk-WARNING **: cannot open display:

Haven't found much yet, any help would be appreciated.

[root@c1pds01 ~]# su - username -c "xterm"
xterm Xt error: Can't open display: localhost:0.0

It looks like the locale isn't the real source of the issue.

wow...yeah, definitely had the frame buffer running on 1, not 0.

export DISPLAY=localhost:1 fixed it.

hopefully someone can learn from this silly mistake.
