Try using YaST2 off of a SuSE mirror site

Hi -

I think you can get GCC from any of SuSE's web sites (even though you purchased Suse Personal, and I understand that gcc doesn't come on the SuSE Personal CDs).

So please try this:

1. Go into YaST2, Software, Change source of installation
Keep your CD drive on the list, but add a SuSE web mirror that's near you
Make sure Status = ON

2. Stay in YasT2, Software.
Select "Install/remove software".
Search for "gcc". You should find it.
Select "gcc", [Add]. You should be able to install the SuSE RPM directly off the web!

Good luck .. PSM
