forgot username and password :)

well when i was instralling linux when at the end it asku to out in usename and password to use i guess i got the password in right but then username came out wrong and now i dont know it..is thier any suggestion on how to fix this prob? im useng redhat 9.0

i'm guessing you're trying to access root?

so the username would be root

if it's a user, i'm not sure

if you can get into root, then run "redhat-config-users" for a simple GUI display of unames and groups. It also allows you to edit pwords and add users/groups

What boot loader are you using, lilo/grub?
