Flash Plugin Crashes Mozilla

After installing the flash plugin, whenever I go to a site with flash on it my browser crashes. No error messages during install or when it crashes. Any suggestions? Tried reinstalling and tried to install as root all installed succesfully according to install script...

Thanks,
JT

yeah... that doesnt work. and it seems people give up long before now.

here is how to stop the crashing:

delete your cash files, ie: enter yout home directory, cd into .mozilla/ then enter default... here there will be one or more "serial-numbered" folders (like 6yg5bm12.slt or some such nonsence) enter each one of these folders then enter "cache" and delete everything in it. repeat for the ./mozilla/firefox folder.

I know there is probably an easier way but that is what worked for me... however this will NOT fix your flash plugin... I am still unable to view fllash content... I am getting an error: "an error occured playing SWF file: Failed to set pipeline to PLAYING... I am getting that on all brousers and any flash file.

any suggestions for this?

UPDATE!!!

I fixed it, AND my sound issue too! just uninstall whatever version of mozilla you are running (dont worry about your mozilla mail or other addon it will be added back later. additionally dont worry about your favs ets. trust me.) then go here: http://download.mozilla.org/?product...nux&lang=en-US
download it, tar it out, and run mozilla-installer (make sure you install it to /usr/local/mozilla AND install the complete option) and then reinstall flash (install it to /usr/local/mozilla)

DONE!!! I guarentee it will work. this was mozilla's and macromedia's intended function of this browser, somehow when converted to rpm something gets lost in transelation.
