Flash Firefox freezes

Hello everyone,
I am using Fedora Core 4 and I have the firefox brower, I downloaded the flash plugin for it and ran into issues so I uninstalled it and did it as root and put it in the /usr/share/firefox/ directory but no matter what I do when ever I run anything flash on firefox it will play about the first 1 -3 seconds of it and then completely lock up for seemingly no reason and just sit there and barely move at all.

Any suggestions....

Which version of Firefox and Flash are you using? What architecture are you on?

Im using firefox 1.0.7 with the i386 architecture and I am using Shockwave Flash 7.0 r25

Have you tried firefox 1.5? I'm running that flash with 1.5 and it works quite well.

I have tried 1.5 and it showed only the same results
