Hi all

I've been running Flash 9beta with Firefox 2 for a few weeks and all has been great.
Also, my personalised Google desktop has a lovely 'Astronomy Picture of the Day' gadget and that was fine too..... but now both have messed up!

All the YouTube videos freeze, or hang and no longer work. To remedy this I had to uninstall Flash 9beta and return to Flash 7.

I still can't work out why why APOD picture will no longer work though - I've uninstalled and readded it but this didn't help. Is this linked??

I updated mplayer recently with YaST (at about the same time this happened) as well as various other small updates.
Is there a link here? Why does Flash 9beta no longer work? Why doesn't my personalised Google desktop load properly? Any ideas?

I don't know if this helps, but I installed flashblock to sort of filter out some flash content. It helped to prevent gettting a lot of crashes/freezes.

Thanks for the reply. Strangely, the day after downgrading Flash 9 to Flash 7, my personalised Google desktop picture started working again!...
