Hi, welcome to LQ, powerboat9.
Wow, HOSTNAME_REDACTED on your private box? 1st time I've seen that.
Only 2 lines of that output look important to me
Code:
[ 941.080638] iwlwifi 0000:00:14.3: Conflict between TLV & NVM regarding enabling LAR (TLV = enabled NVM =disabled)
[ 941.280725] iwlwifi 0000:00:14.3: Microcode SW error detected. Restarting 0x0.
You're on a hardened kernel-5.4.6, right? The wifi looks recent enough. Line 1 shows (guessing) a conflict between what the kernel will allow and what the wifi microcode wants to do. You'll hardly have gotten a hardened system together without learning some stuff. Obvious meanings for NVM are Non Volatile Memory, or Node version Manager. TLV has too many meanings for me to guess, but there's a tlv.h header in the kernel, so grok that. TLV is in the kernel. LAR is location related.
/Wild Guess at the issue:
The wifi wants to broadcast your location, but the hardened kernel isn't having that. The NVM in this case would be the read-only firmware.
If I'm correct, you're going to have to let location out if you want wifi. I remember my own long struggles with hardened stuff. On your personal box, they're going to be able to guess location from your isp, anyhow.
