firewalld status? (Fedora gurus might know this)
Hi,
A while back when Fedora 15 was in developement, I stumbled upon a project to facilitate firewall management : firewalld. For notebook usecases, I think it could be very useful, and can't find out if it's actively developed or not. In git last activity is 10 months ago, however a rewrite to C (from python) was planned according to the wiki. Is it taking place somewhere, or is this project dead?
Thanks,
Serafean

Hi,
thanks, but I already read that. I know the plan, I don't know the current status. ie: Fedora 16 has been released for some time now, yet on this page it's only mentioned as "planned".
The most precise question would be : has it been reimplemented in C? If yes, where?
Thanks
Serafean
Edit : found https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Featu...ewalld-rewrite ; still none the wiser though

The last package update for Fedora 17 was in September in Koji. It's still in Python.
