FireFox crashes
I use FireFox(firefox-0.9.3) browser. However, when I open more than 5 windows, the browser crashes. Also, Firefox suppose to be faster than Mozilla, but when I open window(new tab) it takes long time before I can type address.
Also, my question is: What is faster Mozilla or Firefox?
Thanks

it really depents on how they are compiled and setup
i don't see any difference in speed at all really
the crashing and the slow window open sounds like an incompatability
i don't have any troubles with firefox so i think compile your own so you get exact compatability with the libs on your system and you can also optimize it so it runs faster

If mozilla works better, by all means use it. If you just can't live without some firefox features, try running it from the command line and see if it prints any error messages before it crashes.
BTW, why are you opening more than 5 windows? Firefox has tabs; you don't need more than 1 or 2 windows

I dunno, when I first started using Linux I immediately installed Firefox and used that. It had always seemed rather sluggish compared to Internet Explorer in Windows. I just chalked it up to just the way it is.
But recently the thing has started to crash for no apparent reason. So I started using Konqueror as my web browser. Konqueror is WAY WAY faster. Feels like I'm using IE. Is there any reason NOT to use Konqueror? I had automatically assumed it was crap and just used Mozilla.

Firefox is faster than Mozilla IMHO, but I installed it from source on Gentoo machine.
It should not be crashing with 5 different firefox windows open.
I often have it running with 5-10 open firefox windows in each desktop space with no problems.
Maybe try installing from source if you did not do so to start with...

FireFox and Konqueror run equally for me. The only reason I'm posting this from Konqueror is because this window started as a file browser which I was using to organize my music collection.

Does this crash your Firefox Linux bits
I'm running 0.9.3 Firefox on SuSE 9.1. The following URL crashes my FireFox (but not Mozilla) I'm looking to find out if this is some peculiarity with my box or if it crashes linux Firefox for someone else. The URL is http://www.aarc.net/schnauzer/
Thanks
John
