Firefox and  comments

The MS Internet Explorer used to place a  HTML comment somewhere at the beginning of any page saved. It was pretty useful to me, because I often needed to find the original site.
However, Firefox 1.06 does not do this. Does anybody know of any extension / option to enable this behaviour?

use OPEN Office to load the page after making a backup.

on the left hand column the bottom icon is html source
CLICK on it and the page converts to html or other language format.....

then you will find lots of URLs

hope that helps until you get a better answer

I use GEDIT to see HTML source. But the links on some saved pages point to local files (file://), so it's harder to discover the original site.
I'm still looking for an answer.
