when i reboot/start-up my computer, i get the blue login screen, but when i'm finished my session, it says my kernal in top left hand corner, and "user login:" it appears to be in command line form. then i have to type startx. is there any way to go back the blue login screen, without rebooting my computer?
-Thanks
it dosen't work, when i loggin the blue screen i appear to login on :0, but after my startx session, it says tty1 when i login again. the problem may be that when i log it it says the x server was destroyed or killed. how do i restart it without rebooting? Or can someone go into some detail?
-Thanks
How are you getting to this "blue screen"???
Is this the screen that has the fedora logo on it?
If you are on TTY1, then you aren't in x.
It should be TTY7 - unless you changed it - and you would know if you did.
Try pressing ALT+F7
the blue login on screen with the logo with domain (bottom right) and options bottom left, but when i log off my session i get the login on the command line, and alt+F7 does nothing. just a note: when i log off an x, then logon the command line it says last login <date> on :0 <-- that may be your TTY7. Please respond
-Thanks

does anybody know if this is the problem here:

would "once" need to be replaced with "respawn"?

My problem is that my login screen {the one with a logo} dosen't show up after i log out, instead i get the comand line version.
