Fedora Core 3 and bttv

Has anyone else had any problems with getting the bttv driver to work under Fedora Core 3?
I have the EXACT same setup as I did in Core 2 but nothing seems to be working! Not only is xawtv not displaying any sort of image, the entire top half of the screen goes all liney!?! Looks like some sort of conflict between the bttv driver & maybe the X driver? for my crappy old S3 Trio3D. When I move the xawtv window around the lines randomly change position so appear to be flickering.

I'm using the "s3virge" driver in my xorg.conf file (Driver "s3virge") just like I did in Core 2 & this worked perfectly. I have tried several different versions of xawtv in both RPM & compiling them from source but nothing want's to work.

Has anyone else had anything like this with Core 3?

My mission is to get ZoneMinder going on my server but am yet to have any luck.
Always the way, isn't it? In Core 2 I couldn't get ZoneMinder to compile but my cameras worked just fine, now in Core 3, ZoneMinder works fine but the cameras wont !!!

Any help would be very much appreciated.
