Fedora Core 1 and GLIBC 2.0

Hello guys. I have this application that apprently requires GLIBC_2.0. I am running FC1, so i guess the version is 2.3 or so. Is there a way to GLIBC 2.0 can co-exist with the newer version on my box. This is not an open source app so i do not have the source code just the RPM's. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

This is what i get when i execute the app.

[bobsmith@hqlintest bobsmith]$ Error occurred during initialization of VM
Unable to load native library: /opt/SM8/jre/lib/i386/libjava.so: symbol __libc_wait, version GLIBC_2.0 not defined in file libc.so.6 with link time reference

Thanks
