FATAL: Module yenta_socket is in use while shutting down

Hi Gurus,

I compiled the latest stable release (Linux 2.6.11.5). Everything is OK except the following error during shutdown.

Shutting down PCMCIA
Checkproc: /sbin/cardmgr 5160
killproc: kill(5160,15)
cardmgr[5160]: exiting

FATAL: Module yenta_socket is in use.
FATAL: Module pcmcia_core is in use.
failed

I think I have to specify that these modules need to be unloaded. Can you tell me how?

hi,

try this (suse gnu/linux 9.2):

replace line 113 in "/etc/rc.d/pcmcia"

from
for a in ds i82365 yenta_socket tcic pcmcia_core; do

to
for a in pcmcia ds i82365 yenta_socket tcic pcmcia_core; do

this should fix this problem with kernel 2.6.11
