Evolution Mail Software crash

Hello,

A little screenshot to show evolution, not showing up and not working.

Devuan chimaera.

Any help welcome.

Kind regards

bug: https://github.com/containers/bubblewrap/issues/324

Code:
$ evolution

bwrap: No permissions to create new namespace, likely because the kernel does not allow non-privileged user namespaces. See <https://deb.li/bubblewrap> or <file:///usr/share/doc/bubblewrap/README.Debian.gz>.
Chimaera:
Code:
ii  evolution                            3.38.3-1                           amd6
4 groupware suite with mail client and organizer
ii evolution-common 3.38.3-1 all architecture independent files for Evolution

I've not encountered something like this, but web search for "bwrap: No permissions to create new namespace" turns up a number of articles and forum posts. Perhaps one of them will be helpful.

Have you checked the log files? Based on the error message I'd start with /var/log/system (or syslog) and /var/log/messages (if it exists on Devuan--I'm not that familiar withe the Devuan log nomenclature.

It fails / this occurs when we use a chroot dev method.

It works if I use virtualbox and run the machine normally.
