enlightenment as wm for GNome 2.2.2


Hi all,

I'd like to use Enlightenment as Window Manager for my Gnome 2.2.2,
what can I do ?

Download it. Read the documentation. Read the install documentation. Install it. Enjoy it.



I haven't tried Enlightenment yet, but I hear it's great.

I work on E since always, I just install Gnome from sources (I spent days !)
Now, I want to have the flexibility of E and the effecti veness og Gnome. google cannot help me about it...

gconf-editor is the solution :-)

Access gconf-editor
Foot Menu->System->Config Editor... for the gconf-editor goes in desktop --> looks to the key .

default_wm /usr/bin/metacity
and modifies for the command that initiates enlightenment.

Later I see with more certainty, now I am working and I do not have Linux here.

I noticed that you have Conectiva, very good I also I use the Conectiva-Snapshot-9X : -)

it forgives me for my poor english :-( .

Hi i'm now in Gnome anda the correct is...

Access gconf-editor command
gconf-editor & or access the gnome main menu.
