efax-0.9a: 21:47:22 finished - unrecoverable error

When I check in terminal mode, I can not see a problem there . When I dir'd the files being sent, I find the files do exist in the directory /home/fff/Documents.

fff@fff-EX310AA-ABA-SR1910NX-NA630 ~ $ dir /home/fff/Documents
2011-05-09
27189-A.pdf
3300\ code.pdf

I even took the file and put it on the desktop and then then ran send fax and it gave me same error. I also reinstalled the efax-gtk program but still got the above errors. What could be the cause and how it can be corrected? need help/support.

update to my post--
I also get "can not open serial port error along with lthe failed page error. My modem is a usb us robotics. I have used this modem to connect to ISP and it works fine. When I run code "sudo wvdialconf /etc/wvdial.conf" it shows:

ttyACM0<*1>: ATQ0 V1 E1 S0=0 &C1 &D2 +FCLASS=0 -- OK

Found an USB modem on /dev/ttyACM0.
Modem configuration written to /etc/wvdial.conf.
ttyACM0<Info>: Speed 460800; init "ATQ0 V1 E1 S0=0 &C1 &D2 +FCLASS=0"

Which authenticates the modem is configured and works. However I only want to send faxes via efax or just dial out and no longer need to connect with ISP. Waiting for a reply for this Efax-gtk issue and thanks for your help in advance.

I've never played with efax-gtk but according to the documentation the MODEM device is configured under File > Settings. Also according to the documentation...

Quote:
Any files to be faxed must be in postscript format, which is the
generic printer format for Unix/Linux systems. The program will use
ghostscript to convert these into the Group 3 fax format which the fax
modem will understand.

Michelk,

Thanks for responding. I am aware of what type of files it handles.
The modem is there (ttyacmo), which is correctly configure in setup. Since the modem is present, Why is'nt it being recognize by efax-gtk. With no modem connection files are not accessed and efax program fails
