You can't
edit an RPM file; you'll have to
rebuild it. Extract it somewhere, replace or add the file you want, put it all in a tarball, and run

rpmbuild -tb <tarball.tar.bz2>
Oh, and you'll also need to put in a
dummy .spec file. However, it would be better if you put the dependencies of the package correctly in the .spec file, or otherwise it might install on the users' system and not run at all.
