Editing ISO image

Good day all,

Can someone please point me in the right direction?I am trying to edit a FC4 DVD ISO image.I would like to edit for example:FC4.iso/Fedora/RPMS/yum-2.3.2-7.noarch.rpm->/etc/yum.conf.

Then save it in the same RPM.after all is edited,I will burn the Image again...

Thanks in advance,

MArtin.

You can mount the iso with "mount -t loopback FC4.iso /some_diretory" then you can make the changes you want and unmount the iso and they will be there when you burn it.

You can't edit an RPM file; you'll have to rebuild it. Extract it somewhere, replace or add the file you want, put it all in a tarball, and run
Code:
rpmbuild -tb <tarball.tar.bz2>
Oh, and you'll also need to put in a dummy .spec file. However, it would be better if you put the dependencies of the package correctly in the .spec file, or otherwise it might install on the users' system and not run at all.
