editing crontab


excuse me but i've a question:

what's the meaning of this entry in crontab file:

5 0-6/10 * * * command

is it preceded by the "#" symbol?

looks like an example of syntax usage to me.

You can find the definitions of the fields and notation for the crontab file in the man pages.

man 5 crontab

You have to put the 5 in there to specify man section 5. Otherwise you will see the man page for the crontab command.
