Eclipse with Fedora core 3

Hi
i tried workin with eclipse 3.0 and 3.1 on fedora core 3. But its not workin..
Can any one plz tel me what is the version of eclipse to be downloaded for fedora core 3?
or do i need some other linux based operating systems like ubuntu, Suse or red hat for workin with eclipse? as my project is linux based and needs Java and J2EE..

whenever i start eclipse, it gets hanged... i have to manually restart the pc..
plz help me...

try reinstalling eclipse, use
yum install eclipse

It should work... FC4 is good with eclipse.
What kind of box is it?

OK. I don't know FC3, but I did upgrade my old box for memory etc. when I first started eclipse.

How much memory do u have?
