Unhappy Eclipse not starting -> manual install , JavaVM Version: 1.6 -> Debian Lenny

Hey guys!

I searched the forum but I didn't find anything useful that would help me with my weird problem.

I installed Eclipse dozens of times but I never had this kind of problem.

This is what I am doing:

I am trying to run Eclipse via SSH Xforward on my Vserver (Debian Lenny - 64 BIT System, no local access). I have the JavaVM 1.6 installed (jdk and jre). I downloaded the 64 Bit Version of "Eclipse IDE for C/C++ Developers (includes Incubating components)" from the official Eclipse HP. I extracted the .tar file to my home folder (/home/username/eclipse/)!

XForwarding does WORK (tested with Xclock / etc.)!

Now I connect via SSH with the -X command, go to my eclipse folder and start eclipse (./eclipse). It starts to load for a couple of seconds and then just quits without any errors...!

Ok..so I tried the -vm command (./eclipse -vm /usr/bin/java) - same as before.

./eclipse -debug gives me the following:

Code:
eclipse -debug
Start VM: /usr/bin/java
-Dosgi.requiredJavaVersion=1.5
-XX:MaxPermSize=256m
-Xms40m
-Xmx384m
-jar /home/rami/eclipse//plugins/org.eclipse.equinox.launcher_1.2.0.v20110502.jar
-os linux
-ws gtk
-arch x86_64
-showsplash
-launcher /home/rami/eclipse/eclipse
-name Eclipse
--launcher.library /home/rami/eclipse//plugins/org.eclipse.equinox.launcher.gtk.linux.x86_64_1.1.100.v20110505/eclipse_1407.so
-startup /home/rami/eclipse//plugins/org.eclipse.equinox.launcher_1.2.0.v20110502.jar
--launcher.overrideVmargs
-exitdata a0000
-product org.eclipse.epp.package.cpp.product
-debug
-vm /usr/bin/java
-vmargs
-Dosgi.requiredJavaVersion=1.5
-XX:MaxPermSize=256m
-Xms40m
-Xmx384m
-jar /home/rami/eclipse//plugins/org.eclipse.equinox.launcher_1.2.0.v20110502.jar
Install location:
    file:/home/rami/eclipse/
Configuration file:
    file:/home/rami/eclipse/configuration/config.ini loaded
Configuration location:
    file:/home/rami/eclipse/configuration/
Framework located:
    file:/home/rami/eclipse/plugins/org.eclipse.osgi_3.7.0.v20110613.jar
Framework classpath:
    file:/home/rami/eclipse/plugins/org.eclipse.osgi_3.7.0.v20110613.jar
Splash location:
    /home/rami/eclipse/plugins/org.eclipse.platform_3.7.0.v201106131736/splash.bmp
Debug options:
    file:/home/rami/eclipse/.options not found
Time to load bundles: 8
Starting application: 1305
What is the error? What am I doing wrong here..?

Thanks for your time and help.

-kb
