Does anyone know of a program which can configure FTP on a RH 8 server? I was hoping to have something I can configure via GUI. I tried ProFTPD and it is too complicated for me. I remember a program that was available awhile back which included FTP, HTPP, DNS and all kinds of utilities. Does anyone know of anything they reccomend? I just want to use a simple FTP program which will allow only me to log in. I do not want to allow anonymous log in. I did a search on the forum and could only find information for ProFTPD which does not make sense to me.

please remember that ftp is an insecure protocol... your password and files will be clearly seen by anybody that sniffs your connection...

So maybe I don't know what I need. I just want to create a FTP server in my DMZ so I can access the files on it from the Web. Am I on the right track?

any ftp server will let you do that...
