ogle root not set

As running ogle, I get this for avi files.

~$ ogle Dvd/dvix/file.avi
libdvdread: Using libdvdcss version 1.2.8 for DVD access
libdvdread: Can't open file VIDEO_TS.IFO.
ERROR[ogle_nav]: faild to read VIDEO_TS.IFO
DVDSetDVDRoot:: Root not set

I checked the forum about this problem. There are many posts already for same. Answer is : link your cd/dvd reader to /dev/dvd.Ok. Done already.

I am able to play dvd movies via my dvd reader, as copies of those on HD.
But the problem is that as I try to play avi files, I get this answer.

So, I do not know if it is really an ogle problem, or just the way I built the avi file.

Thanks any help.

Bruno

DVDSetDVDRoot:: Root not set

Hi folks,

Please could someone tell me why ogle is unable to read an avi file on hard disk, even it is able to read a dvd on dvd drive or just ripped on hard disk.
The same avi file is readed by mplayer without any problem.

~/Dvd/dvix$ ogle file.avi
libdvdread: Using libdvdcss version 1.2.8 for DVD access
libdvdread: Can't open file VIDEO_TS.IFO.
ERROR[ogle_nav]: faild to read VIDEO_TS.IFO
DVDSetDVDRoot:: Root not set

Thanks,

It's my understanding that ogle only plays DVD's, it doesn't play media files like avi's or mpg's.
