I'm attempting to create a dual-boot on a PIII 700Mhz laptop with Windows 2000 Professional and Fedora 5. I installed Windows 2000 a while ago, and today I installed Fedora by booting from an installation DVD. Unfortunately, when the installation finished and rebooted the laptop, the only OS listed was Fedora. Does anyone know if there is a way to add my Windows OS to the boot menu? If so, any detailed instructions would be greatly appreciated. (As you might have guessed, I'm new to Linux.)
Thanks....

What partitioning option did you select during install?
Also, what boot manager options? (The Fedora installer should have detected the Windows install and automatically configured)
In Linux, open a terminal and do this: su to become root fdisk -l (post the output here)
(What we are looking for is that Windows is still in fact there---and to confirm the disk and partition IDs)
Thanks for your reply, but I figured out the problem. There was a second option listed on the login screen labeled "other", and I had assumed it would have been Windows. I tried it and it worked. Now I need to edit the file so that it has the correct name. I did, however, find the fdisk command you mentioned useful.
