Does anyone know of linux versions of these programs?

Dear Sirs,

I have been using a computer for about 6 months. This week I found out about linux. I like what I hear. In an attempt to make windows do As I wished I learned a few rather limited scripting languages, and have started on java. It is my hope that linux will do as promised and provide a greater degree of control and range of options for a computer. I can not help but feel that windows is a case of the tail wagging the dog.... Alas I have become proficient with windows, most of the world seems stuck on Microsoft as well. I have three programs that I have found to be very useful. It took me most of the last six months to find them, and I would like to know if I can find a linux version or perhaps an analogous linux program for each function.

Powerpro -- a desktop diddler that lets you do lots of stuff. Set keyboard short cuts, make simple scripts, and meddle with windows settings. ALSO it has a notes function that pops up a "sticky note" based on the title of the active window.

Keynote -- a rich text virtual tabbed notebook. in short it saves lots of material in one file, but keeps it organized with a tree view. You can do lots of other stuff with it but I use it for scratch paper...that way I can keep track of trivial bits of info that come back to haunt you months down the road

E-speaking -- a voice recognition program... saves lots of keystrokes and mouse clicks for me.

Roboform -- a password/login mannager

For what it is worth I have only begun to scratch the surface of linux (Debian). Any input is welcome.

Hey, good evening. The good news is that if you like software like that, you will love configuring linux to work exactly how you like. Your whole environment is customizable. I use fluxbox because I love how customizable it is, and if you wanted to get crazy you could use idesk with it. KDE has that wallet for your passwords, but I don't use it. As for web passwords, most browsers handle that.

But yes, keyboard shortcuts and sweet configuration setups are all around the corner for your. Don't give up.

The only thing on there that might not work exactly like how you had it in windows is the speech recognition software. That kind of software is in linux, but you will need to read about it.
