DIVX and Subtitles in XINE or MPLAYER... howto?


Hi everyone..

i wonder how can i play my divx movies with .srt or .sub subtitles using xine or mplayer... i cant load the subtitles...

what do i need????

mplayer blah.divx -subfile blah.sub

should work fine,if not, just check the mplayer man page for the exact syntax.

In XINE you first need to load te movie from the 'load' menu (right button on the "movie screen". When you've loaded the movie it will start, press stop and right-click on the movie screen again, then again to the load menu. There's a new entry now, load subtitle. Hit it, select your subtitle and you're good to go.
I guess there must be a simpler way to do it but hey it works
