Talking Disk Images

How to deal with the disk images like daa, iso, etc.
Is there any software to extract them.
If there is any software then please provide me some information...

For ISO6990 & UDF discs you can mount the images as if they were disks.

mount -t iso9660 <filename>.iso mountpoint/ -o ro,unhide,loop

the "loop" option is where the magic happens.

I don't know what a DAA disk is.
Look at the image file with the "file" command. It may be an alias for ISO rather than an actual filesystem.
file <filename>.daa

Also look in your package manager. There may be a konqueror slave plugin that will read ISO files. There is one for konqueror for audio discs which have no fileysystem. Entering "audiocd:/" in the address bar will result in the music being presented in various formats. These are psuedo files. Dragging the format you want (such as the MP3s or OGGs) will start the conversion process and write the results in the destination.

Here is a list of related packages:

It seems to me that you are still accustomed to the Windows world, where the first question is "what software will.." instead of "how do you ...". Often you already have the tools at hand. Spending some time searching the packages you have available might be enlightening.

Also scan through the mount manpage. Also the manpage for losetup, which can come in handy to attach a loop device to an image file.

The Linux version of powerISO to process .daa files is free. ( I'm contradicting my original advice, but this seems to be a propriety format, so a propriety program may be needed. )

It took me about 30 seconds to find this on Google. You might try a search on Google in the future.
