Disable hardware acceleration (flash) [SOLVED]

Hi,

I am running 64 bit flash on arch linux, which was working fine until recently (now all videos appear laggy). I would like to try to disable hardware acceleration to see if this makes any difference. When I right click on a video (e.g. in youtube) > settings, the settings box appears but freezes. I am unable to uncheck the "Enable hardware acceleration" box or navigate around the menu, which leaves me with having to close the browser window. Is there another way to disable hardware acceleration?

What is quite strange is that I have also tried joining the youtube html5 trial with similar results (video is laggy). But if I make a youtube video "pop out" and then readjust it so that it is full screen, the video works great (not exactly sure why)!

I am unable to do it there, either. Any configuration file that I could edit?

EDIT: Was able to untick box only after I made the video fullscreen (even though it didn't actually play). Solved the flash issue
