Digikam w/ KDE3.3 & Thunderbird

I am trying to use Digikam 0.6.2 (in KDE3.3) using Thunderbird as its mailer for mailing images from within the application.

Thunderbird appears in the list of mail clients but after the images have been resized the Digikam does not appear to even attempt to run it.

The correct plugin is installed and it runs KMAIL ok but I would rather stick to Thunderbird.

I cant find any config files anywhere to play with so I'm a bit stumped, and it was installed from an RPM so what it's done behind the scenes I really don't know. Does anybody have any ideas?

Many thanks all
