Dependencies when trying to install CheckGmail not working right

I'm running SuSE 10.0 and I'm trying to install CheckGmail, but I'm going through dependency hell The packages that were available in YaST disappeared after I installed them, but not when I installed almost all the other packages from source. I even installed them with CheckInstall, but CheckGmail still says they're not installed yet. Do I have to use different arguments instead of just 'make install' ? Thanks for all your help!!!

Any programs you have installed via source are not visible to Yast - therefore it will always ask for those dependencies. You need to find them in rpm format so Yast can see them.
