Exclamation Deleted my partitions in cfdisk...

Ok, I have just deleted the partitions of this computer's hard drive in cfdisk. I thought I was doing it to my thumb drive, but I forgot to put /dev/sda in the command. So I'm not sure if it's actually removed them or if I should not reboot until I hear from someone or what. Because it is still working now.

Nothing will have happened unless you did a W(rite) command to commit the changes.
If you have committed the changes, use testdisk to recover the situation.

Yeah, I wrote the changes before I noticed that it was the wrong drive. I shall run testdisk now. EDIT: I mean install and then run...

Ok, using that tool apparently kept my files intact, but the superblock was missing or corrupt once I rebooted. Since it was only a temporary 6GB drive with almost nothing on it anyway (1TB backup drive ), I just reinstalled slackware. But I also got my video card and integrated wireless to work correctly, so it's all good. I appreciate the advice, and testdisk seems quite versatile.
